Pros
-Can expect a paycheck every Friday. -Pay for Design Engineer I was $20.00 an hour at the time (2021). -Flexible schedule if discussed with team lead/manager. -Ability to work from home though this is on their equipment.
Cons
-Lack of training. -Peers who think they're your manager/supervisor. -Trainers who lack the necessary knowledge to fully explain the training material. (This falls in line with the first point) -QA/QC employees who seem to think they're senior leadership, this is quite sad as they are equals. Huge egos that do not go unnoticed. -An absurd way of tracking time, too convoluted to even begin to explain here. (Lack of training on this as well) -If help is needed, expect to reach out to multiple people who will give you different answers as there are no standards. (Truly odd not having a standard set in place by CCI Sys. If you say well that can't be done because they do work for several large commercial telcos, you're wrong) -I had a project manager's supervisor cry on a Microsoft teams meeting once I had given my two weeks notice, I had never interfaced with this person prior to this. Very unprofessional to cry and ask how they could get me to stay. They even asked where I was going and how much I would be making. -This job was stressful due to the fact that you are expected to fail over and over again on the designs you've created/submitted because QA/QC doesn't seem agree with one another. Errors seem to differ between QA/QC personnel which proves the point of CCI Systems lacking standards.
