Pros

-Some coworkers are fantastic people. -Learning new lines of insurance. -Some clients are amazing partners.

Cons

-Senior leaders are two faced and will trash talk about adjusters. -Leaders who seek out political affiliation and punish those who are not of the same perspective. -Leaders make horrible comments about accents, sexuality, political affiliation and generations. -Leaders throw adjusters under a bus to save face, even when it’s a situation they created. -There are no clear metrics being distributed to the front line workers, but you will definitely know when you don’t meet these unspoken metrics. -This idea of company culture is being said and simultaneously protecting the worst of the worst. Culture can be found on what is tolerated, not the words spoken. -Promotions are based on what people look like on paper, not on actual ability to perform. Senior adjusters may have 20+ years, but no technical skills, so they underperform. Supervisors may have 20+ years, but abysmal people skills, pushing actual talent out the door.

Pros

- The remote work option is a plus (If your supervisor decides to let you). - My supervisor is great now, very knowledgeable & helps greatly when it comes to learning the actual job (it is unfortunate that this is not always the case, really hit or miss with supervisors). - Reasonable amount of time off (if you can get it approved and provide good enough explanation of why you need time off).

Cons

- Definitely have some PTSD from the first office location that I worked at due to the micromanagement & constant toxicity from that particular supervisor - Definitely some "Rules are for thee, not for me" type management. - It's nice that benefits are offered, however, the medical benefits refuse to cover almost anything. Considering just getting independent medical insurance at this point.
