Pros
No real benefit to working for this company. Others played while I worked and I got the boot because I was not in any manager's "clique". I personally observed employees regularly performing less than one or two hours of work out of an 8 hr day between personal phone calls, "bathroom breaks" and hour long chats in their areas when not flitzing around the office talking to anyone and everyone, including management. Not a word is said to correct this situation because they are within management's clique. Longevity depends on who you know and suck up to in this company....
Cons
This company regularly places people in management positions that are not qualified. This includes anyone from claims manager on up. Good workers are ousted just because they are not in the "in" crowd. Very pompous attitude that anyone can be replaced and they certainly live up to it. Management is lazy at best with NO assistance offered to the overwhelmed adjuster whatsoever. If you go on vacation, expect to come back to tons of e-mails, mail, voice messages, etc. Urgent things like CPs and Motions are untouched. You finally start dreading taking time off that YOU EARNED. You are reduced to picking the brains of co-workers if there is an issue you need direction on. However, this isn't necessarily a bad thing as the co-workers know more than management. The company heaps a ridiculous amount of claims onto one adjuster (mostly those not in the "clique") and because of this, the quality of work suffers. Yet the management is quick to point the finger and "doesn't understand" why audits are not up to par. You are expected to live and breathe the work. The more personal time you sacrifice to get things done the more it is expected of you....with not even a thanks. A common saying amongst co-workers is "they set you up to fail here". What ever happened to the mentality that if the employee fails, so does the supervisor/management"? You won't find that here....
