Pros

There are very nice and talented people who work there and are dedicated to getting tasks completed despite the outdated technology and lack of leadership. There is a sense of community fostered by employees, and among employees.

Cons

A false narrative about 37.5 hour workweeks when the expectation is that you work as many hours as it takes, evenings and weekends. A false narrative around being 'employee owned' when the people who truly benefit are at the top, make the most money, and have the most shares. You are zero percent vested the first three years which means any sort of employment separation benefits them. If your position is eliminated due to restructuring, and by no fault of your own, your health benefits will be terminated immediately. It doesn't matter that hearing you are being fired for no cause is probably one of the most stressful things that can happen to you and may send you to the emergency room that day clutching your chest. The pay is absurdly below what it should be. There is almost no room for advancement. I was promised a pay increase at six months. It did not happen. I was promised a bonus at the end of the year. It did not happen. Instead, they throw a $100 dollar Amazon gift card at you. An insult. If you want a career with the potential for advancement with a company that lives up to their promises to employees, look elsewhere.

Pros

- The remote work option is a plus (If your supervisor decides to let you). - My supervisor is great now, very knowledgeable & helps greatly when it comes to learning the actual job (it is unfortunate that this is not always the case, really hit or miss with supervisors). - Reasonable amount of time off (if you can get it approved and provide good enough explanation of why you need time off).

Cons

- Definitely have some PTSD from the first office location that I worked at due to the micromanagement & constant toxicity from that particular supervisor - Definitely some "Rules are for thee, not for me" type management. - It's nice that benefits are offered, however, the medical benefits refuse to cover almost anything. Considering just getting independent medical insurance at this point.
