Pros
There is a lot of talent in the Professional Services organization which makes for a great group of consultants to work with. The pay is good, bonuses are nice when paid on time and for a home-office based consultant travel is less than 50%, which is great if you have a family. The CDC Software client base I've worked with have been world class companies which make the consulting experience challenging but fulfilling.
Cons
Management is not very transparent, 2009 bonuses for Q2 and Q3 have been paid late with no explanation, and turn over seems to be high these days. No pay raises this year due to the "economic downturn". Performance is completely based on billable utilization hours (how many billable hours you can log each week) which in turn doesn't leave a lot of room for creativity and career development opportunities (training, education, etc). Benefits are pretty basic and standard no bells or whistles.
