Pros

Good industry to work in. CDC Software has a reasonably strong balance sheet, which is not always the case for technology companies, so that part of job risk is reduced.

Cons

Promotions are often given to those with political skills while those with true ability are often passed over. Not an environment to work in if you think ability and hard work should trump politics.

Pros

the work is neither hard nor demanding and the new blood that coming on seems to be wanting to show their feathers and capabilities to the top brass who are still trying to figure out the direction given the entire change of the top levels

Cons

the work isn't fulfilling and the change in leadership is seemingly lost in translation, not from Chinese to English, but from Silicon Valley-ish to Indianapolis/Atlanta lingo. The mash-up of Vista fame is not happening fast enough to make us famous in a good way.
