Pros

Pay is 12.25 an hour. You have a sales goal daily and if you meet that goal you receive 250 points. Once you accumulate 7500 points you get a $40 bonus.

Cons

I want to share this unfair practice. In this position you are a Sales Adviser. You are given a daily goal to sell so many of a product. If you meet your goal you get points towards a bonus. Now if you sell out of the product because you were good at your job or because Costco just didn't have enough product, you are rewarded by having to go home and miss out of the hours you were expecting to get paid. You get the credit for meeting a goal, however you don't get paid for your time. The vendor who paid for this demo paid for the full 6 hours. So CDS benefits because they receive all of the money for the full demo but only end up paying the employee for a partial shift. The employee loses out on the hours and the pay. Since they only allow employees to work 28 hours a week so they don't have to pay benefits. Now this is a large "international" company which they remind us of everyday. But the next sentence they tell us how much it would cost them if they had to pay benefits. Cough, Cough. Another thing they do.. they want to promote from within so if you want to move up in the company they want you to have that option. The problem is they will only promote you if you ONLY have this one job. So if you can afford to work only 28 hours and have more responsibility to move up in the company, you will get paid $1 more per hour. So you won't get far or be able to pay your bills.

Pros

independent work, flexible, easy to get the hang of, quick hiring process.

Cons

non fixed schedule, often call outs, management isn't the fastest but they try, standing for 4-6 hours a day.

Pros

The job is simple, and you're doing something new every shift. Getting to talk to people is great and if you like cooking, some demos require it.

Cons

Can be tedious and mind numbing. Standing in one spot for 5- 6 hours taking about a product and giving out samples isn't for everyone. Tough on the feet, so good shoes are a must.
