Pros

Good job to start at, if you want to have a job that puts you in the center of the action from day one, this is the job for you.

Cons

no work life balance at all. Expected to be available for work at all hours. Turn over is extremely high, and in my short time there everyone in my office quit.

Pros

Long lead projects. Big projects run a year or more. Lots of support and knowledge available. Great place to learn for somebody new to the industry. Hourly pay for engineers (most employers are salary)

Cons

Long hours. Frequent travel. Stressful startups (but that is the nature of this industry).
