Pros

Good benefits and PTO, nice HR interactions, decent environment depending on who your administrators are, sometimes give bonuses depending on performance or circumstances

Cons

Poor training quality, half the time one person tells you to do something one way and then someone else tells you to do the opposite. They put a stupid amount of work/expectations on nurses. Again, depends who your administrators are but the main ones I was under were some of the most tactless people I’ve ever met.

Pros

Stable employment. Benefits. Potential for overtime

Cons

They funnel all of the money to leadership positions and towards new construction. In my current position inflation is higher than what they're willing to compensate me more so each year becomes more depressing. The mental health issues I'm suffering compounds year after year just like compound interest. Anyway that's why I'm here looking for a new job. If you're in a nursing position you'll end up finding yourself jumping to UT Tyler so you can a pay raise and then jump back to Christus. It's essentially price discrimination but for wages.
