      Pros

      In NY, senior management are accessible and most of the people are pretty friendly. Hours are reasonable. Benefits are average for the industry.

      Cons

      Conservative and myopic Canadian management, combined with constant strategy changes and poor communication, creates frustration in NY. In the >5yrs I was there, not one women on the trading floor was promoted to an MD. Limited promotional or lateral opportunities in general; preference was to hire externally at the more senior level. Aggressive HR.

      The NY location is close to Grand Central Station

      Cons

      Slow Canadian culture that finds it challenging to meet US regulatory standards. Executives play favorites and gaslight employees, if you voice your opinion, they either silence you or try to manage you out with exaggerated "performance issues"
