Pros
The company has the standard big company benefits. Mobility within company is available for career growth.
Cons
A large percentage of employee's compensation is shifted to bonus even though the bonus stays the same amount for years (i.e. one may consider it as part of salary rather than a variable component of compensation). However, pension does not include the bonus portion. Retiree will have a bigger drop in annual income to adjust to.
