Pros
- salary (debatable for some) - bonus and raises scheme - though this is debatable as so much relies on management, but a lot is in your control - benefits - steadiness - diversity... but see below
Cons
- diversity. It could be better. For minorities, females, handicapped especially those that want to move up... - upward mobility. This is tough as the general corporate structure is a pyramid, so there's only so far people can go. - leadership. In my department, we have a new VP (about a year). Wonderful person to work with, but no vision. - general management. And without going into incendiary details, mostly the reason why i'm leaving. Lack of autonomy, micromanagement, comes off hypocritical (though I don't think they mean to be)
