From the moment you first walk through the door until the day you hit the send button on your farewell email, you are nothing more than a placeholder for a cheaper replacement. The pervasive opportunistic mindset that is so deeply imbedded in CIM’s DNA is sadly applied to its human capital, and employee behavior which should be rewarded - recruiting the best candidates, streamlining procedures, training your subordinates - only serves to make you more expendable and will ultimately facilitate your departure. Inevitably and unavoidably, it will not end well for you. You will not leave happy, and it will take years after your exit (be it voluntary, with a gentle nudge, with a strong push, or with a brutal blindside) for you to be able to look back fondly on your time at CIM, forget the pain and appreciate the life lessons you learned there. All the free snacks in the world can’t compensate for being screamed at, falsely accused, told to hide things, and lied to.
