Pros
Because the corporate structure is so disjointed you can often take Friday's off without people realizing.
Cons
Given the lackluster REALIZED returns, CIM is having difficulty raising new funds. Dry powder is limited. The most recent raise was only a fraction of what they wanted to circle up. The culture is terrible and deal leads are compensated partly on deploying capital which leads to the firm overpaying for assets. I remember being in an investment committee while one of the founders played brick breaker on his ipad the whole time.
