Cons
Low compensation paired with the fear of layoffs mean you will take on extra work with no pay. Work life balance are empty words and the values we recite each morning are parodies of what the company once cared for. No longer. Family spirit? Entire families laid off. Profit sharing? Squandered by goals of growth and poor budgeting. Tenure is rewarded with insulting offers of "reallocation" for entry level pay, in an effort to force out anyone who recognizes the culture shift. You can disregard these cons if you are part of the Family Tree that is the VP layer.
