Pros

Great immediate coworkers, provides free snacks daily.

Cons

Where to start. I worked at CLA for a little over 3 years. It started out great, with everyone fluffing up the company and its perks. It becomes apparent very quickly that CLA cares about no employees, no clients, and just care about their standing in the accounting firm industry and how much money they make. Since I started my boss had me do super shady things, like charging hours to other clients so I could meet my “charge” budget, which is 2400 hours per year, which is equivalent to working 44.5 hours/week. They claim to have unlimited pto, when in fact they make you make up the time you take for vacation before the end of the year, which makes those 44.5 weekly hours go up insanely when you take more vacation. I had so many clients say negative things about the company right to my face, but most of it was because of the things supervisors/managers made us do. I reported my boss to higher ups, and eventually they were fired. Since I reported my boss however, upper management started making my life a living hell. Constantly micromanaging me, pulling me into private meetings and grilling me about my performance, when all I was getting was praise from my immediate supervisors. The HR department is super two-faced and unprofessional. Do not have private conversations with them as anything you talk about will be told to other leadership and your management and it creates the most toxic work environment ever. Management is the most petty and childish I have seen anywhere. They constantly joke about inappropriate things at meetings, like people’s ages, their looks, etc. but never get held accountable for what they do.

Pros

Good thing national teams allow remote work opportunity because there's not enough space in the local offices anyway, but you might just end up working after hours more often than not.

Cons

No pay raises year after year which is an actual pay decrees when taking into account inflation, fake "flexible" PTO, required to work 45 hours a week without any overtime, raises, bonus, or any financial reward which actually matters. You have to do ridiculous workday feedbacks, and self review every quarter but it means nothing because they don't even consider the feed back you've received when laying off. It is your job to find work, and when there is't enough work for you it's your fault, not leadership's. You get promised new projects and they are always delayed for months at a time and many times nothing even comes out of it. Pretentious company that likes to call itself "family" - only red flags here.
