Pros

Because of its mission-driven nature, the company does attract some highly-intelligent, passionate people. I made some great friends here. Because of high turnover, there are opportunities for advancement within program teams. If you care about the environment, this company does very direct work that leads to a decrease in carbon emissions. I learned a lot about energy management here.

Cons

The talented, awesome people I mentioned above, including amazing women leaders, also left in droves throughout the several years I was there. The ones that are left behind are subjected to navigating a culture that favors a very specific cis, straight white male prototype: the "good ole boy" who is constantly promoted despite having seemingly little talent outside of impeccable snake oil salesmanship skills. The "yes man" whose sometimes not-so-subtle sexism, racism and homophobia is overlooked because they keep clients happy. It's honestly discouraging and distracting for the people who really care about making energy efficiency a critical piece of addressing our climate crisis.

We also acknowledge we are early in our journey toward an equitable and inclusive workplace where all feel they belong and can thrive. 2020 marked the first year where we began making investments toward that aspiration in earnest. We launched an intentional culture initiative that includes a significant body of work designed to develop awareness and education on issues of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion at CLEAResult. In 2021, we’ve committed to several targeted investments to advance these efforts using data, developing our managers, and making connections to performance and recognition. While we’ve got work to do, we believe it’s important to keep focus on the long-game. Over time, we’re optimistic that we will see positive outcomes from these earnest investments across the organization. And we look forward to seeing that impact reflected in future comments.

I have worked in CLR for 4 years as contractor and my experience was very positive , I have joined as a FTE with the expectation of contributing in a collaborative and respectful environment. Unfortunately, my experience was different. After raising concerns with leadership and HR regarding my work environment and management practices, I submitted a formal written complaint requesting that the company investigate whether company policies on fair treatment and non-retaliation had been followed. Following the submission of my complaint, I did not receive a response or acknowledgment from HR regarding whether an investigation would be initiated. Throughout my experience, I felt that I was subjected to frequent criticism, repeated rework, inconsistent expectations, and a lack of psychological safety. From my perspective, these issues made it difficult to perform my job effectively and created a hostile work environment from my manager theres no co-oparation. All my fellow collogues also shared the same experience . Unfortunately no actions has been taken

Cons

I have spent good 4 years with collaborative people in high pace agile environment and delivered more than 40 projects .I have received Lot of opportunity for learning and growth.
