Pros
• Meaningful, fulfilling work. Helping customers save energy is rewarding and one of the most practical ways to really reduce carbon emissions. • Independence. Employees are often trusted to get their work done on their own terms. Work from home (WFH) has been warmly embraced. • Good people. Most employees are friendly and well-intentioned.
Cons
• Turnover. More than 1 in 5 employees left in the past year. CLEAResult has been slow to bring on new hires too, so the company is stretching the existing employees to take on more work without reward. • Compensation is no longer competitive with the industry. Recent compensation adjustments have been a fraction of cost of living increases, despite high employee turnover. I don’t see this changing any time soon. The company seems intent on cutting labor costs, so they can acquire other companies. They acquired 2 companies in a matter of weeks while simultaneously telling employees that CLEAResult just wasn’t in the position to give employees cost of living adjustments. • Company structure is in a constant state of flux. Work is highly dependent on different contracts in different regions, so resources or employees are shifting all the time. The regional structures are being reorganized all the time too. I think we’ve even had 5 CEO’s in the last 7 years.
