Pros
I enjoyed the people I worked with. I learned a lot about reinforced concrete and the construction business while working in the detailing department. Always harped on working safely.
Cons
The detailing department was under staffed. Expected to work a lot of overtime. Pay raises very small. Saw a lot of people come and go. Never really knew how I was doing or how to improve. Always implementing new ways to do things, hard to keep up.
