Pros

The pay was great but then again it was during the boom in 2020. All banks were paying stellar amount of money for underwriters. Loved the people I worked with. Most of the loan officers were good. However, a handful of them has god complexes and think underwriters are supposed to just do what they say. Even if it means they will lose their job and do unethical underhanded things.

Cons

When work slowed down all the new people are always the first to go. Doesn't matter how much you work for them you will not be rewarded. A lot of nepotisms and favoritism in the company more than average! During that boom there was absolutely no work life balance just work. Don't expect any pay raises. Not much diversity as far as minorities in the company. If your a minority expect to be the first to be let go. I would say it's a fair work place for women more than other companies. The company forces you in an indirect way to do overtime off the clock. They would give you so much work knowing that you can't possibly do in an 8 hour day. Then say don't work off the clock. But if you don't complete your work they threaten to terminate you.

Pros

I have spent more than 3 decades in the mortgage industry, CMG is definitely in the top 3 mortgage companies I've worked for. Ops is lightning quick, compensation is solid, the product variety is the best I've seen including amazing proprietary programs, benefits are reasonable, there really isn't anything more I could ask for. Every aspect is at least good, if not world class!

Cons

None I can think of

Pros

There are a ton of opportunities to innovate and build industry-changing technologies. We have a great product team and a great engineering team, so the possibilities for my team and me are endless. We're also serious about using AI across product management, BSA work, QA, and engineering. It's part of our culture, and the transformation is being led directly by our technology leaders, which shows they're hands-on and lead by example. You won't find many places where a top leader is this invested in transformation and in the details, and that's both encouraging and energizing for our team. On the business side, there's a lot of flexibility and support for our sales and fulfillment team members. Ideas are heard and implemented no matter who they come from. Our leadership team is humble, and they genuinely care about and understand their business. They've been very welcoming and have taken the time to help me understand their business needs so I can deliver the right solutions. CMG believes in top-notch customer service and in offering a comprehensive suite of products that most other companies don't have. The culture here is great and genuine, and I'm very glad I made the choice to join CMG.

Cons

Opportunity to standardize process and create an enterprise fulfillment strategy, currently in the works and planned for the immediate future.
