Pros

The attempt and desire to improve culture was there however the staff was aware of the nepotism that ultimately made the workplace undesirable.

Cons

The first thing I noticed when I joined CMR was that the compensation practices included unstructured starting salaries and increases in salary that were not only unequal, but often unjustified. Instead of basing severance packages on an impartial measure such as tenure, they were based on the emotions associated with the separation, the prior relationships with the Partners, or the public images that had to be saved. There was definitely an "us versus them" culture and if you belonged to the wrong side, it was apparent. I don't want to lump all of the Partners together and say they all had toxic behaviors because there were 2 that truly and genuinely cared about the staff and communicated it well. The big takeaway I had from CMR was the realization that the 80/20 rule was accurate. 80% of the work was done by 20% of the staff. When you are part of the 20% but you aren't acknowledged or compensated as well as others, your decision to leave is inevitable.

Thank you for taking the time to review CMR on Glassdoor. Initiatives to provide a top workplace culture is a priority at CMR. We are transparent with salaries and compensation for all employees and have that information available in our Employee Handbook for everyone at the company. We certainly do not want anyone to feel like there is an “us vs. them” culture. A team environment and inclusion are both very important to us. At CMR, hiring skilled employees to assist with the workload of our entire team, has been a top initiative. Our goal is to provide excellent work-life balance and to acknowledge when our employees go above and beyond. Thank you for your feedback and we would be open to speaking with you further offline to sincerely hear about your experience.

Pros

CMR puts employees ahead of corporate profits and it really shows by the amount of resources they deploy to not only make CMR the best place to work, but also by investing these resources into training and education to drive the very best out of everyone here.

Cons

CMR offers a hybrid working environment requiring employees to work in the office a minimum of two days per week. I would prefer if CMR would require employees to work full time in the office as I appreciate the collaboration with my fellow employees and find the experience working together even more enjoyable when everyone is here together.

Pros

CMR is a company that cares deeply about its culture and employees. Your ideas and suggestions are heard and encouraged. It is an incredibly enjoyable place to work. It is an unbelievably transparent company that shares revenue and profit margin goals with employees in real time, something I have never experienced before. It makes you feel like you have a stake in the overall success of the company.

Cons

Sometimes the workload can be heavy but that might just be the industry in general.
