Pros

Not a whole lot here to say.

Cons

Where do I even begin with this crapshow of a company? I don't typically write reviews for anything, much less a company. However, I figured people should be aware of some things before accepting any position here, especially that of a Patient Service Coordinator (PSC). This isn't even the half of the foolishness and all of this is put kindly and respectfully. When I was hired, training was supposed to be 5 days long, I was shorted a day and found myself behind the other trainees, no reason was given either. Additionally, not much was taught to me in regards to properly filling my role, I was made to focus on which dot colors belonged to which insurances for all 4 days of training(nonsense really)..instead of being taught how to properly verify insurance, or properly taught how to handle LOP's or S/F patients, or how to properly schedule for the different clinicians in my clinic (as not all patients can be seen by every clinician) plus each clinic has their own way of scheduling, amongst a lot of other wayward things. The simulated scheduler software is outdated & the powerpoints they use to “train” are outdated. Fortunately, my (then) coworkers would help in teaching me what was necessary to fill my role and I learned what I would be handling quickly. I found that regardless of our trainers claiming how accessible they were in monthly meetings, we would be sent straight to voicemail & emails would be ignored; It wouldn't be until crap hit the fan that they would immediately reach out to us in order to reprimand or correct (which didn't make sense because if they had answered or responded, we would be better able to do our jobs and properly assist our patients). Too I found that our trainers gave us incorrect or conflicting information from time to time which resulted in a catastrophe for our patients. We would be lead to believe that insurances were being properly verified through insurance specific websites because of what we were learning through our trainers and when one would call the insurance companies to verify, the insurance companies would tell us something completely different. A lot of patients seemed to be getting ripped off IMO. (Perhaps the latter is more a fault with the insurance companies than CORA, who knows.) Our manager at our clinic would often cower or switch up on the PSC's, especially in face of the higher-ups. Often times rudely interrupting to speak about things that were not relevant to the tasks/situation at hand, setting us back. Often times demeaning us at the front desk casually because we may lack certain credentials. Discussed & agreed on helping some of us move up the ladder and failing to keep their word. Often times a cheapskate when it came to sprucing up an otherwise dingy clinic. Management would push to increase patient #'s which didn't make sense to me when a lot of patients complained about how crowded some clinics were which they were already aware of. Not much of a pay increase to look forward to, some people have been with this company longer than me who has been raised pennies more, wtf is that? I've seen employees be pressured to quit or be pressured to switch clinics claiming that other clinics needed the help more, well if that was the case, why hire for our location if you knew the other clinic needed the help more? Nonsense. I've seen favoritism and nepotism at it's finest.. if you don't speak Spanish or aren't management's favored employee(s), good luck. It's certainly felt and noticed. I think some diversity within the crew of trainers as well as upper management would do well. I've noticed the disparities between the clinics located in "nicer" areas vs. areas that weren't necessarily appealing. In those less appealing areas, the majority of people who work at the front desk are African American, what is the reason for that CORA? That was always bizarre to me. Don't even start me up on what was done to some of the employees during the COVID-19 Crisis, the absolute worst! Had the audacity to inform certain PSC's "that their services would no longer be needed until further notice" but turned around to bring PSC's from other clinics in, when we could simply rotate shifts so we can all have some income. Our manager lied stating certain people were cut due to upper management when in reality they didn't seem to have a clue per certain messages(but then again who knows, they could have lied about that too). Never heard from our CEO in the span of my tenure(over a year) but a mass email was sent from him essentially stating that in order to thrive as a business staff would need to be cut but not much in the way of positivity or SAFETY was mentioned. They refused to set up a measure to properly protect us at the front desk (I.e plexiglass), mandatory testing, taping out 6ft distance, etc. Just a literal cesspool of germs & possible contamination. The most enjoyable part of my job was connecting with the patients and collecting my check, that's honestly about it. I would steer far from this company if possible. With all the circles I (and many others) felt like I was going in, I feel as though this position has aged me and caused me to lose brain cells..no joke. I've lost a lot of joy and satisfaction that surrounds patient care. I've successfully managed a few medical offices seeing more than 5 clinicians and it doesn't hold a candle to the shitshow at CORA. CORA, I really hope you can review where you fall short because not only are some of your finest employees stressed and left with a bad taste in their mouths, but also your patients are left with a bad taste leaving many not wanting to return. It's a trickle-down effect for sure..train us better and we can better serve the patients. As PSC's we are the backbone. We at the front desk see all the things that do and do not work. Besides checking quarterly that your trainers are properly equipped to train new employees (since things change frequently, especially in regards to insurances and which clinician can see which patient from which dr), once they are trained in that, have them check in with current PSC's to make sure they have the best & most current understanding of their tasks from time to time. What good is a trainer if we don't see or hear from them until something goes wrong? What good is a manager if they lack proper training to respect their employees and act brand new in the face of upper management? Some clinics are smaller where there's only 2-3 PSC's working & they can easily accomplish their daily tasks, but do not neglect your larger clinics who's PSC's are being pulled in more directions than seem possible. We are supposed to work collectively to help out the community or so claimed, but oftentimes it seemed that was a facade. Don't say you haven't been warned! 1/10

Pros

- Meaningful work helping patients improve their quality of life. CORA accepts an extensive list of insurances providing access to patients that otherwise would not have access to outpatient rehab services. - Opportunities for leadership development and career advancement in multiple areas. - Excellent continuing education support, including access to CEU courses, certifications, residency programs, and mentorship. - AI-assisted documentation tools that help improve efficiency, reduce documentation burden, and allow clinicians to spend more time focusing on patient care rather than paperwork.

Cons

The fast-paced environment provides continuous opportunities to learn, adapt, be a team player, and keeps each day engaging and dynamic.
