Pros

Pros? Is there any? Guess one pro is they give you a safety vest.

Cons

Don’t even know where to start. They work harder to try and get you fired or for you to quit then they do to keep you. Every three months there’s a new rule being put into place. You’re sick well you better schedule that minimum 2 to 3 weeks in advance so you get the day approved. If your day isn’t approved disciplinary action will be taken since it was not an approved day. Our driver manager? Well that’s the biggest joke of them all. He doesn’t possess a CDL license but is going to tell you how to drive a truck. I don’t have any consideration for you or your family time. You get two personal days a year so you or your children are only allowed to get sick two days out of 365 And like stated above you need to know when you or your children are going to get sick so you could put the days requested off in or you’ll get disciplined with a warning letter, verbal warning, suspension, and then fired! Their planners are just as much of a joke as the driver manager is. They will send you on runs that are mapped out way longer than 11 hours of drive time even though FMCA rules only allow drivers to drive 11 hours a day. In conclusion I would just not waste my time here and I cannot wait to start my new job!

Pros

At CPC, drivers are compensated for every minute of on-duty time. With time and a half for anything over eight hours. Weekly paychecks usually have a healthy amount of overtime. CPC is one of the largest providers of private fleet service drivers in the US. A majority of our 3,500 plus drivers are career professionals who can do what it takes to accomplish our 24x7x365 mission: deliver freight on time, safely. When you have a large team/family like this you feel certain you can accomplish anything and when you have easy access to your chain of command all the way up to the president of the company you feel supported. You might find higher pay elsewhere but you won't find the care and support for your well-being and family life like you will here.

Cons

It can be tough to schedule off duty activities and appointments. Loads are reliant on multiple team members from loading at the warehouse to relays bringing your trailer to you. Weather and breakdowns can affect everyone's schedules - you have to be flexible. Hopefully you have family and friends who understand.
