Pros
People are nice and encouraging in general. This is a rare chance for people to gain project management experience, work with the government, learn about NGO cylce, and proposal bidding process. They offer decent benefit as an NGO. There are a lot of people who have stayed here for more than 10 years. Those who use this place as a career development, come and stay for few years at least. The new office in Arlington is clean and spacious. Good meeting space too. If people work hard, they can get promoted.
Cons
The most frustrating part is their limits in looking for diverse funding options. It heavily relies on government contracts and cyclical projects. The type of projects certain team works on can be very limited. While some team build projects others end up doing logistical projects for years.
