Pros

Autonomy, flexibility, perks, lots of golf

Cons

Zero training, it's strictly trial by fire. They basically hand you a laptop and a cell phone and send you on your merry way. They do not have any formal training on their CRM system, their products, their logistical process, anything. The manager(s) tell you they will do "ride-a-longs" and have coaching days every other month, but they'll do it about once every two years. You get assigned a "protected territory" but they allow other sales reps to sell in your market. They definitely play favorites. 90% of your pay depends on what territory you are assigned. Some territories will get you above $100k/yr. with very little work, other territories will have you work yourself to death for half that. They will fire reps when it comes time to save money but make it look like its a performance issue versus an actual layoff to not have to pay severance or unemployment. They do not provide you with commission payout statements, they just add a number to your paycheck and expect you to trust their math (It's wrong 40% of the time). Also, don't bother applying unless you're white if your male, unless your hot if your female.

Pros

Overall, it’s a really good company—probably some of the best benefits in the industry, and that’s one of the main reasons I chose to work here.

Cons

My advice to anyone considering it: be careful about the promises you’re made during the hiring process. Make sure everything is put in writing, and make sure it’s exact—your position, job description, responsibilities, and what is expected of you. Things can change. If the person who hired you leaves or moves on, the person who replaces them may see things differently and change everything. That can include doing away with the position you were hired for and moving you into a completely different role—one you may have never left your previous job to take in the first place.
