Pros
Good starting pay. Fun to work with great crew, nice customers. You learn how to present new items all the time. Great position for retirees or college kids. No expectation that you will stay for any length of time, so no guilt at using it as a placeholder while you look for more steady employment.
Cons
Recruiters lie like a rug. Job offer was 18-24 hours weekly, Thursday thru Sunday. Not even close to fact, no excuses made, it's take it or leave it. Scheduling changes all the time, making it near impossible to have other work. Favoritism abounds. Lead position openings are never announced, but given to Supervisor's friends or relatives. Other friends/relatives are brought in as ES, with the intent to become leads when an opening is available. There is no training or encouragement to climb the ladder. No pay increases or any benefits, other than the chance to buy into substandard health insurance.
