Pros

I enjoy meeting Sams Club members and having an ongoing dialogue with them. There is room to be creative in your marketing. Understanding there is a "train to run", meet that objective, food safety and genuine customer service then you can enjoy a good part-time job with pay subject to living costs $10.50 to $12.00 depending on your role. Limited health plan available and apart from Saturdays, Holidays and seasonal promotions you have some flexibility for other part-time endeavors. Communication and dependability are key to management. Management likes to promote Supervisors from within. Show interest in becoming a lead if you want to step up to full time.

Cons

Management and marketing plans lack real time, boots on the ground, realistic expectations of a teams limits (ie. sending 23 scheduled demos to a team of 15 event specialist and without necessary amount of equipment (carts, ovens etc.) to get the job done. Little incentive in place to reward excellence. High staff turn over.

Cons

an honest example of your day, we will pay you for 15 minutes to run up to a Walmart. For that 15 minutes we will expect you to read instructions for any new changes, run in and check in with a manager, find our product, count our products exactly, go to the back room and find our products (which is by far the longest step), count our products in the back exactly, bring our products to the front of the store, take pictures and answer questions, remove all old products, stock by date, take pictures and answer questions. If this takes you 25-30 minutes, which is probably a more accurate accounting, we will still only pay you for 15. If you are lucky there may be another job that day, but if not you will be expected to waste your gas, drive to the Walmart that we demanded, and work that 15 minute job alone. In that case we will be demanding that you take an hour out of your day for $3.00.
