Pros
Decent pay, benefits, and plenty of opportunities to perform above your pay grade. There are always opportunities to take on more responsibility, improve your skills, and expand your career. The company is open to helping place you into an industry you prefer working in.
Cons
The company is currently undergoing a financial transformation, and there has been a lot of complaints about lack of direction from corporate, and short sighted decisions based only on financial metrics that tie the hands of employees and prevent them from doing their best work. There has also been a freeze on bonuses and raises for a number of years. There is no defined training or on-boarding process. The project managers I have worked with have been lazy, cut corners, and blame their subordinates for project mistakes. Getting any type of specific instruction or feedback from the project managers is like trying to get water from a rock.
