Pros
The people you work with are generally intelligent and good at their jobs. Everyone is nice to neanother and there aren't as many 'office cliques' as you see in other corporations. Raises are based on annual reviews and evaluation of your work and completion of goals set forth by you and your boss.
Cons
The pay grades are somewhat below the generally accepted salaries for the same positions in the same field. The company also restructures itself every couple of years under the auspices of improving workflow and profitability, and while this often affects the management level positions more, this is because the company is somewhat heavy on management staff. While the system for reviewing performance for raises is more than fair, department managers are allotted a specific amount of money for raises in their department, so that if everyone performs well and meets or exceeds expectations, the amount you get could be lessened by the fact the pool of people drawing from that allotment is larger.
