Pros

Good overall compensation and work/life balance. There are occasional pockets of high talent, but they don't last for long in this political environment. Mike Lawrie's changes to the company have been enormous, but not nearly enough.

Cons

30 year CSC veterans who are over-compensated and under performing. This leads to a highly political environment where credit for any growth or achievement is quickly grabbed by the inside players in DC. The top-down transformation has left most of these under performers in place, while many of the high-talent next generation leaders have left.

Pros

Good benefits including 401(k) with company match.

Cons

Unrealistic workload. The pay does not match the amount of stress that comes from the amount of work given. They are hiring new employees for the same role offering about $30k-$40k more than they pay those who have been there for years instead of compensating current employees fairly. Management is out of touch. They are so focused on numbers that they cannot clearly see the internal issues that are compromising relationships with customers.
