Pros
Salary generally tends to be at the higher end of market rates. Work-life balance is pretty good.
Cons
You'd need to exhibit serious masochistic tendencies to put up with the pain of rudderless management and apathetic leaders who see staff as an unfortunately necessary evil. Demoralized staff due to constant threat of further/ongoing redundancies, successive years without even inflationary wage rises, and scrapped bonuses. Most of the best staff have gone, those left are basically there due to lack of alternative options.
