Pros
People are what keeps colleagues, regardless of circumstances. However, over due time one starts to question if they're of value to the company or just a number for future RIF. People pour the heart/soul into their job because it reflects them however, when your job becomes your life... A new view starts to set in place...
Cons
No respect for personal work-life balance even when taking vacation, holiday, etc. You're brought into a culture of 24/7 with a constant high volume/demand and ever changing corporation is truly an 'understatement'. The CEO/HR preach taking vacation and enjoying the holidays, recharging, etc. But, the tone at the top really conveys a different message. The company has been through some major changes in transformation but, over the past 6 years there is always major changes throughout the past six years, between applications, processes, org alignments, etc. Don't misunderstand, a company of this size you have to be flexible however, to some extent to get the simple things done have become a challenge a non-functional issue.
