Pros

There are only two benefits to working at a plasma center for CSL. One is health insurance. Two is the people you work with, as some of the donors and fellow employees are good people. But every other aspect of the job is horrendous. Seriously. Everything else is terrible. This is the worst company that I have ever worked for.

Cons

I could write an actual book on how the cons of CSL Plasma. Instead, I will just list them out, for the sake of my own sanity: - Everything is outdated. Our technology ran on Internet Explorer. Yes, I'm serious. It still runs on it, despite the search engine being shut down earlier this year. All of our machines, medical devices, and everything in between ran on Internet Explorer. Now imagine how behind everything else is in the company (the newest version of Excel I ever used at CSL Plasma was 2010...). - Management above you does not care about you. Never once was I consulted about any changes despite being a leader at a center. Executive leadership willy-nilly makes changes and expects things to magically get better. You do not get praised for good work, or asked if you need help. Instead, you just get reprimanded for inaccuracies or falling short of unrealistic expectations. - All the internal systems are outsourced, except for HR. HR is a nightmare to work through. I have been at a new company for over two months, and I still have unresolved HR issues that I (as a previous manager) am dealing with. It's insane the incompetency of some of these departments. - Trying to make a positive change? Good luck, as every system in place is outdated, and the people in power positions will work harder to hinder you than to help you. - Like work-life balance? Neither does CSL Plasma. Expect long days, being underpaid, and dreading waking up every morning. The only two holidays you get off are Christmas Day and New Years Day if you're in a center, so say hello to working on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and more! Seriously, avoid CSL Plasma at all costs. You are nothing but a number to this company. They do not care about you, and as soon as your usefulness has run out, you get tossed aside.

Pros

I made a lot of friends there, and the employees on the floor were almost always very hard workers

Cons

The higher up in leadership you go the less you actually seem to care for the people actually doing the hardest work on the floor. The donors are often mean and impatient. And don't get kicked out if they are repeatedly an issue on the floor, because that's a loss of plasma. Many centers won't kick out anyone with veins that aren't suitable to be stuck. It's often up to the donor to walk out with two blown veins to decide not to come back.
