Pros

Regular paycheck. That's it. I would give them no stars but the app won't let me.

Cons

As an RN I expect a certain level of autonomy and respect. You will find neither here. What you will find are managers and supervisors that have nothing to say to staff unless it's to correct them. I have never felt so demeaned or disrespected in my entire nursing career. Nursing judgement is subordinate to the almighty MSR. The computer system is ridiculously tedious and not at all intuitive for the user. Fear not though, you will be trained- for a bit. Then every single "error" you make will be brought to your attention at least 5 times by 5 different "quality assurance" staff or supervisors. Don't forget that all training and policies are geared to the lowest common denominator- which sadly just happens to be your support staff.

Pros

I made a lot of friends there, and the employees on the floor were almost always very hard workers

Cons

The higher up in leadership you go the less you actually seem to care for the people actually doing the hardest work on the floor. The donors are often mean and impatient. And don't get kicked out if they are repeatedly an issue on the floor, because that's a loss of plasma. Many centers won't kick out anyone with veins that aren't suitable to be stuck. It's often up to the donor to walk out with two blown veins to decide not to come back.
