      Pros

      The pay and benefits are great and you are union protected after the first few months. The company is very upfront about what the job is like before you start and don’t lie to try to get you to stay. They are very safety conscious and many steps are in place to keep you and those around you safe.

      Cons

      No work life balance, expect to spend almost all of your time at the job. Expect to miss out on a lot of life.

      Great pay and benefits PTO

      Cons

      Long hours and terrible work environment Training is inadequate On call 24/7 with only 2hr notice No holiday pay for road jobs Newer guys/ low seniority never know where they are going to work week to week No overtime potentially if on long mileage run and will still work 12 hours Very stressful job with a lot of responsibility Lots of time away from home and never have a consistent sleep schedule
