Pros
- Felt easy to work up and find opportunities if you worked hard. - Excellent opportunity to learn customer facing, inventory, and management skills. - Be curious and interested to learn as much as you can, will open up promotion opportunities, ask about the "Round Robin Interview" event. - Sundays/major holidays pay time and a half (depending on you state).
Cons
- Can be overwhelming with rude customers and peak hours; however, being able to thrive under pressure helps immensely. - If your manager doesn't like you, they have the power to make your time very uncomfortable. At first, when they liked me, I was on the fast track to SMIT (Store Manager in Training) and being promoted; however, after being double promoted due to my high performance, my manager completely flipped on me. They halted my growth and bad mouthed me the DL and other managers, even calling other stores I was planning to transfer to specifically to ensure they wouldn't hire me. - I definitely recommend working for CVS just beware for power hungry managers who actively work against employees they feel threatened by.
