Cons
Moral of employees across the boards has fell over the last several years. It started out great in the 2001 till 2004 with over time pay for pharmacists and merit based (if triple S scores were reached and exceeded) monthly bonuses for technicians. Technicians used to get a dollar raise also if they completed their certification. Everything started going downhill since 2007. Company aggressively pursues the 10-15 min mark, even thought we are not staffed with enough people. (Technician Budget Hours given based on a 11 rx's per technician. we average about 1600 rx in a week and we are only given 130 budget hours. thats 15 hour less!!!! As a Pharmacist your hands are tied when trying to keep experienced valued people from moving to a better paying jobs. Lead Tech was with company 9 years, made less then 11 dollars!!! When she got a job offer from Costco for 15 $ and i told her i was going to talk to the DM and pharmacy supervisor to match it, they told me that they can only authorize a raise of 25 cents!!!! So now imagine yourself working in an environment where as a pharmacist you have to: 1) Make calls as telemarketer to fill prescriptions that the system has prompted (and average of 75 people to reach in the weekends) and in the meantime answer questions, verify rxs, type, count-mix meds, register, FLU SHOTS and etc. And thats because you only have 1 or 2 techs that are swamped at their workstation. (drop-off, register, production, taking rx from the phone, and doing the PCQ calls.
