Pros
The *only* reason I could *possibly* recommend working at this company (at least as a Pharmacy Technician and/or Sales Associate as I did) is for the health benefits. Even the Pharmacy Technicians I know working at hospitals preferred the insurance from CVS/pharmacy.
Cons
The pay is absolutely terrible. No matter how good you do and how long you work there, the regional management has been given orders from on high to make sure nobody starts out at a decent wage and that they can't get a decent raise either. Every yearly review I would be judged on things that didn't apply to me (such as doing the weekly order) that applied either only to the Lead Technician and/or the Inventory Manager. I would endlessly (every single time I saw the man) ask the Regional Pharmacy Manager if he would give a raise with taking the added on job of being the Inventory Manager. He outright said no after the third time and the end result is that all of us had to do that person's job. This resulted in something being wrong on the order every week as the way it's done is meant for one person to keep track of the inventory levels. There is absolutely *no* room for advancement and/or promotion at this company. In fact, they're continually laying off more and more people. They're also taking those tasks and forcing it upon the remaining staff while expecting them to work at full capacity. They also keep cutting the number of hours for every store every quarterly review. The lucky ones don't get cut, but absolutely *nobody* I've talked to got a raise.
