Pros
Coworkers are great. Benefits are on par with other large employers.
Cons
Leadership culture. PBM is managed by leaders who who surround themselves with yes-men and manage by fear. People are terrified of their leaders and spend so much time worried about their VP/SVP's reaction to anything that they are afraid to get anything done. If you did not come from Retail and are not part of that inner circle you will go nowhere. No work life balance. Systems are antiquated and the company will not invest in better technology to maintain a good customer / employee experience. IT lifecycle is horrendously slow. Pay at the leadership level is not competitive, which forces leaders to hire people without the sufficient skills to really do the job. There is no investment in leader development once they are hired. Company is top heavy and is launching an expense reduction program in 2019. Company has committed major savings (translates to headcount savings) due to the Aetna acquisition in 2019-2020.
