Pros

There are zero pros to this place

Cons

They track you on timer There is only 20 mins of break allowance for the entire 8 hour shift that you can break using 2-5 mins each Salary is ridiculous! You can work for years with no increase in salary and no promotion You work the weirdest shifts ever! Sometimes 12am to 8am and the next day 8am to 4pm You sit and answer calls and write emails in a damn cubicle You work on bank holidays and even on weekends You don’t get personal time off unless you don’t beg for it

Pros

Solid salary and benefits, recognition and opportunity for growth across job function and/or upward. Cross-team interactions and collaborations are open and approachable.

Cons

Senior leadership over the last 10 years has eroded the culture and viability. Current mid-management leaders are relatively new to roles and lack mentoring, training or clarity of direction.

Pros

Working remotely, great working environment.

Cons

Navigating two separate layoffs both before and after an acquisition is challenging for anyone, especially when your future is unclear. Being laid off in 2024 rehired in 2025 and then released again after being assured my role was secure only added to that uncertainty. I fully understood the risks of returning to CWT during such a transitional period, but the experience highlighted how crucial clear communication and consistent leadership are during an acquisition. This was not about the work or the people both of which were positive but rather about how the transition from CWT to Amex GBT was managed. My hope is that sharing this helps future employees understand the environment and encourages stronger communication during periods of change.
