Pros
- Entry level position that pays above minimum wage, with regular salary reviews. Compared to other entry level jobs, my hourly pay was quite good. But compared to everyone else that worked there, it was horrible. - Management is generally very organized and friendly - Always got as many hours as I needed
Cons
- Nearly impossible to be promoted to serving if you were initially hired for another position (only happened once at the location I worked at) - Hostesses were required to clear and set tables for the servers (for entire 4-8 hr shifts, not just once in a while) . This should NOT be part of a hostess' duties! - The tips that hostesses received (IF they had been "promoted" to the tipping pool), were extremely minimal - Breaks were 15 minutes, unpaid, no matter how long your shift was (usually 4-8 hours). - Much tension between the more senior & more junior Hostesses - was unclear who would be "leading"
