Pros

The programs for families and children are nice, and I was a fan of the homelike decor.

Cons

I received little to no training of the changes to my responsibilities following the acquisition, even after essentially begging for help at multiple levels. I was working 55-65 hours a week just to keep my nose above water between covid, short staffing due to covid and morale, the workload and reports that were expected, interviews, hiring, staff training, and so forth. The school support center in AZ is not helpful, and I used to dread seeing their number pop up on my caller ID because I knew I was going to be talked down to and slapped on the wrist for something I had jot been trained on by Cadence. I was not able to give my teaching staff the attention and support they needed to thrive, and what I was able to do was at the expense of my work-life balance. This company is driven by nothing but numbers - you either are in the red or black and that is what will determine your worth to them. I also took an ethical stance again shady practices regarding refundable deposits that were essentially seized by the company despite parents not having ever signed financial agreements with Cadence, but rather the previous owner. Cadence took those funds knowing they were refundable, refused to refund parents when spots weren’t available or plans had changed, and then left the responsibility of notifying parents to myself and the AD. We were berated and threatened by families on a regular basis because of this. My RD and a new VP the school was assigned to couldn’t have cared less. You will be run into the ground if you work here - mentally, physically, and emotionally. Senior management (VPs and up) is totally disconnected from the reality of what is happening in their schools.

Pros

Supportive & Positive Environment: Cadence Education fosters a truly positive workplace culture where employees feel valued and encouraged. It is a great place to grow professionally in a welcoming setting. Collaborative Team Dynamics: I have had the pleasure of working with a fantastic team. The sense of camaraderie and shared commitment to our goals makes daily challenges much more manageable and rewarding. Robust Online Training: The company offers excellent access to online training resources. These modules are well-structured and provide valuable opportunities for continuous learning and skill development, which is essential for staying current in the field.

Cons

Need for Enhanced Support for Special Cases: While the general operational support is good, there is a clear opportunity for improvement regarding complex or "special case" situations. Providing more tailored resources or clearer protocols for these unique circumstances would greatly benefit both the staff and the families we serve. Requirement for More Transparent Policy Guidelines: At times, the rules and expectations can feel somewhat ambiguous. Implementing more clearly defined policies would provide greater consistency and confidence for all team members when navigating daily responsibilities.
