There aren't many opportunities for growth, your direct manager can't give you a performance raise, negotiations are done through the union. You will not get a raise, a bonus or a promotion after completing a year of probation. They wait until your 1st day to inform you that you must pay for a parking pass to come to work and make you feel like your voice won't be heard without the union. You will be "at will" if you don't pay your monthly dues. After everything that is deducted from your pay check, you'll barely have enough money to survive the month, oh yea, because they also don't tell you that you only get paid once a month.
