Pros
The ICs and line-managers here are wonderful people. Kind, student/teacher types, humble, pragmatic folks. The pay is good enough. The product is interesting and enjoyable to work on. We have a great historic remote culture. Brand recognition feels nice. Some of our leaders are very smart, many many individuals are too, but the new direction in senior leaders is concerning...
Cons
There are a few leaders that have joined in the last year that have worked hard to make the culture really bad. They try to accomplish goals by use of intimidation, bullying, blaming, pinging all hours of the day, and with hardly a shred of humility, decency, and treating people with respect. These are not work conditions that people can be creative or do good work in. I worry they will drive too many good people away before they realize the damage they're doing.
