Pros

CCC sites have minimal staffing. CCC sites are not cubical land setting. Management tends to travel frequently (this can be a pro or con depending on who the supervisor is). It is a good way to learn multiple skills because of the short-staffing patterns. It is a good feeling with Corpsmembers say thank you and as staff you see them grow into a professional job or return back to school.

Cons

Small staff patterning = a lot of work and the work will keep pilling up. Management tends to travel frequently (this can be a pro or con depending on who the supervisor is). The work that you end up doing can be "out of class". The job I had was good until the management changed in the building. A new manager came in and changed everything around. All the workers who had built up trust and credibility with the organization prior had to re-start because the new manager micromanaged (along with a power trip for a little bit of time). The manager wanted each worker to prove themselves to them. On the other end, the new manager would stand around and talk half their shift each day and then pass the work to other workers because they could not finish it. The new management who came in was a boss who wanted everyone to be their friend and tell them everything personal about themselves. As a worker, I did not feel comfortable with this. In the end, the new manager and I did not mush as well as we could have do to I did not want to be her friend and I did not bite her bait. I wanted to come into work, complete my job that needed to be done, and then go home.
