Pros

In Telecom, things are always changing and evolving. So, you are unlikely to get bored with work. And Calix is understanding of burnout and are willing to shift your work if/when you feel you need for a change. Time off is flexible and they understand the need for taking time off etc. Full support for working from anywhere (i.e. home office).

Cons

Expectations run high and now with the work from anywhere model, Calix is trying numerous methods to keep people connected and engaged. While that makes sense, you week can become full of meetings, tech support, work reviews, etc. and you have less and less time to get your work done.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! Calix supports it's remote employees by providing flexible time off and a work-from-anywhere policy. We are so glad to hear that these benefits are improving your work/life balance. In order to combat meeting fatigue, Calix has implemented 'Recharge Days' and 'No Internal Meetings Days' to provide meeting-free days on a monthly basis. We hope that these recurring meeting free Fridays can provide uninterrupted focus time for our employees to catch up on their work and feel refreshed. Please reach out to me at any time to discuss this topic in further detail. I would be happy to connect with you further on any ideas you may have that can increase overall wellness and happiness for Calix employees!

Pros

Calix has an excellent company culture where employees genuinely support one another. The collaboration across departments is one of its biggest strengths, making it easy to work together toward common goals. The company also offers a great work-life balance and promotes a flexible, respectful work environment that allows employees to be productive while maintaining their personal lives.

Cons

Compensation could be more competitive, especially for non-Sales roles, as responsibilities grow. Advancement opportunities can also be limited for certain departments, making it challenging for employees looking for long-term career progression within the company.
