Pros

Work from home and decent pay and bonus

Cons

The management is lacking clear direction, which makes execution challenging. Processes change unexpectedly, creating difficulties in keeping up. Developers are under pressure to perform despite these hurdles. Additionally, the quality of IT execution is subpar, and management often displays an arrogant attitude, failing to treat employees with respect. No career growth.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We’re glad that you appreciate the ability to work from anywhere and our competitive total rewards offerings. We’re sorry to hear about the challenges with leadership and lack of clear direction, as we take pride in ‘knowing our purpose’ and ensuring that we transparently share our roadmap and strategic initiatives and any additional context that may be helpful to understand the ‘why.’ We believe that every employee should be treated with respect regardless of their level or position and invite you to further discuss with your Talent and Culture Business Partner so that we can better understand what you’ve been facing and work to address it. As we’ve continued to build out our Engineering Teams in China and India, it can be difficult to find convenient times for everyone to connect. We welcome your feedback and input so we can minimize the impact that it has on work/life balance. Thank you again for your feedback, it is valued.

Pros

Calix offers a highly collaborative, customer‑first environment where strong cross‑functional partnerships are genuinely valued. The culture encourages ownership, accountability, and proactive problem‑solving, especially when supporting high‑impact customers and complex initiatives. Leadership is accessible and supportive, and there’s a real emphasis on continuous improvement, process refinement, and professional growth. If you enjoy meaningful work, transparency, and being trusted to make decisions that positively impact both customers and the business, Calix is a great place to build and grow your career.

Cons

As with many fast‑growing, customer‑focused organizations, the pace at Calix can be demanding, particularly during peak periods or when managing complex, cross‑functional initiatives. Processes and tools are continuously evolving, which can occasionally create ambiguity and require adaptability. Aligning across multiple teams and priorities sometimes takes persistence, and success often depends on being proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable navigating change. That said, these challenges tend to come with opportunities for visibility, impact, and growth.
