Pros

Flexible work hours and no pressure to be in office just for the sake of visibility. Autonomy to manage your own time and deliverables. Some individual contributors are talented and committed despite systemic issues. If you're politically savvy, there's room to climb.

Cons

Leadership tends to trust a select few, often forming one-sided opinions without hearing other perspectives. Cross-team collaboration is poor—teams operate in silos, and internal competition outweighs team spirit. Recognition and decision-making are often influenced more by proximity to power than by performance or merit. Open feedback is rare; people hesitate to speak candidly, knowing that only certain voices are heard or rewarded.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. We’re happy to hear that you appreciated and valued the flexibility, autonomy, and talented colleagues that define Caltrol. We recognize your feedback on collaboration, recognition, and decision-making, and we’d like to offer some context. Our leadership team actively seeks diverse input across teams through regular meetings, open-door policies, and company surveys. While not every perspective may be immediately visible in decisions, efforts are made to consider multiple viewpoints. Performance, data, and business impact drive our decision-making and recognition programs, not favoritism. We understand that cross-team collaboration can always be stronger. Our ongoing initiatives are designed to improve connectivity, strengthen alignment, and break down any perceived silos. Caltrol remains committed to building on our strengths while addressing opportunities for improvement, and we encourage all employees to use the channels available to share feedback directly. Direct engagement allows us to act more effectively than anonymous forums. Your voice matters. We would encourage you to reach out to our HR department directly to discuss further. We would appreciate the opportunity to gain more insight into your comments and concerns as we continually evolve and ensure Caltrol remains a great place to work.

Pros

Standard benefits, hybrid work schedule, in-office company culture is friendly. Work-life balance is good and opportunities to learn during slow times are good. You need to take advantage of it, though.

Cons

Lack of work to do, so layoffs are inevitable at the moment.
