My direct manager is close minded and not open to empowering the team. Has a "I'll do it" controlling attitude which limits employees in growth. In speaking to colleagues I have been told it is a mentality of most of management in the company. This is NOT a real sales role. Never saw numbers, if you are looking for a career delivering cupcakes and making friends this is for you! Otherwise you won't be happy as there are no goals or guidelines for measurement. Being told not to get on the first bus to head out at a company event and needing to drink and party should not be company priorities but they are. In my 20 years of sales, this company was the only one that was a wasted opportunity for me. Beware of management, they don't have a company HR department to speak to so there is no employee support, you will hear "chain of command" being thrown at you constantly.
