Pros
Passionate people. Great place to learn and get involved in a lot of different aspects of the business. Great product that stands the test of time. Pay is above the rest of the industry. It's a Minnesota success story!
Cons
Corporate culture is rubbish. Marty, the CEO, hires a lot of family and friends to be on the leadership team. Frankly, they're not qualified and they're running the company into the ground. Very little metrics or communication for any department to measure their performance with. No teamwork between departments - it's every man for himself. Quick to throw people under the bus. Management is heavy-handed and likes to yell. They enjoy the old way of doing business and don't encourage new ideas or innovative thinkers. IT is underwhelming - takes forever for a ticket to be completed without a call to the CIO. The company is in need of some serious automation - too many painstaking manual processes that management is required to do everyday. The HR department - if you can call it that - is disappointing and a terrible business partner. No work/life balance. Your long hours and hard work go unnoticed by senior leadership - it's just expected of you. Too much secrecy. Vacation policy is bare. No dental or vision. Very expensive medical insurance if you've got a family. It usually takes 3 years to get a raise - but you usually get a nice bump.
